CONFIRMED
Art the Clown has climbed out of his trash bag and into the Fog. Bloody Disgusting, reporting Behaviour Interactive’s announcement, says Art (The Terrifier) and new Survivor Sienna Shaw are playable now in the Dead by Daylight Public Test Build on Steam. The full Terrifier chapter is set to launch on November 24.
What we know
This crossover has been creeping toward us all year. The official Dead by Daylight X account first announced it on June 15 with a short post: “Dead by Daylight x Terrifier. November 2026.”
Now it is real and testable. According to Bloody Disgusting, the PTB went live on October 28, and it is on Steam. If you play on console, you will have to wait for the full release. Game Rant describes the November 24 chapter as coming to all platforms, but the test build is a Steam affair.
Art’s Power is called Bag of Toys, and it is gloriously unhinged. Bloody Disgusting reports that it hands him a random weapon from his trash bag: a flail, a flamethrower, a firearm, an acid-filled beer bottle or a bike horn. Each successful hit builds that toy’s deadliness, which eventually lets Art down and execute injured Survivors. Every weapon also gets its own Mini-Mori, which is a very generous amount of cruelty for one Killer.
Art brings three perks. Bloody Disgusting details two of them. Funny Business triggers a random effect and a temporary haste buff when Art damages a Generator. Kill Spree is an end-of-Trial ability that lets him kill the remaining Survivors once they have all reached a certain state.
On the Survivor side, Destructoid, relaying Behaviour’s announcement, lists Sienna Shaw’s perks. Best Gift Ever drops items with passive bonuses. Shared Trauma cures Exhaustion for nearby Survivors after a Protection hit. Valkyrie’s Rage delivers an extra-powerful pallet stun.
Destructoid and Bleeding Cool also report a new original map, a liminal mall called The Hartshorne Mall.
What we don’t know yet
Bloody Disgusting’s excerpt cuts off before Art’s third perk, so we cannot tell you what it does yet. The same cutoff means we do not have the exact condition that triggers Kill Spree. “A certain state” is doing a lot of work in that description.
The mall map name comes from Destructoid and Bleeding Cool. The Bloody Disgusting excerpt we saw does not mention the map, so treat The Hartshorne Mall as reported but not fully verified for now.
We also do not know why the PTB arrived a day late. On October 22, the official account teased Art with a blowtorch image captioned “PTB 27.10.26,” and Inven Global reported that the account confirmed “PTB is on October 27th” in a reply to a fan. Behaviour’s October of Horror roadmap listed that date as well. Yet every report has the build going live on October 28, and no official explanation for the shift has surfaced.
Finally, it is a test build. Numbers and mechanics could change before November 24.
What is rumored
An auto-generated X trending summary claims the PTB slipped from October 27 to October 28 “to polish the content” and went live at 11 a.m. ET. That text is unsigned aggregator copy with no named author and no track record. No outlet or Behaviour statement we found backs up either the reason or the time, so file both under unverified.
Two other claims are floating around and do not hold up. A fan-wiki-style entry gives November 17 as the launch date, but Bloody Disgusting’s report of Behaviour’s announcement says November 24, and Destructoid, Bleeding Cool and Game Rant agree. The idea that the PTB is on every platform is also wrong: Bloody Disgusting specifies Steam.
What it means
Bag of Toys feels like a smart read on Art as a slasher. A Killer who reaches into a bag and pulls out whatever chaos comes next suits a clown whose whole menace is unpredictability. Weapon-specific Mini-Moris suggest Behaviour wanted each toy to feel like its own little nasty bit.
Sienna’s kit leans protective, with two of her three perks tied to shielding teammates or punishing the Killer at a pallet. That is a fitting answer to Art.
Game Rant ties the announcement to Chucky leaving Dead by Daylight soon, so the roster’s resident tiny psycho may be handing the spotlight to a bigger one. It also continues Art’s run in games after Terrifier: The ARTcade Game, which Game Rant notes released in fall 2025.
Steam players can poke at Art now. Everyone else, mark November 24.
