Bobby Brown, Dennis Austin Chappel Music Limited | Copyright Control. Produced by Bobby Brown for B. Brown Productions . Executive Producer: Tommy Brown. Performed by Bobby Brown
Yeah boy! I know this is kinda slimy Feel it, ya know what I'm saying You find yourself Caught up in a silly game That's child's play Don't play me out
The world depends On every little move we make It's serious Cold serious
Now the time has come For all good to know And overthrow the bad
We're here to make a change So all can be free A call has been made And we're back
We're back
Oh, we're back
chorus: We're back to fight the evil We will never deceive you We're back
chorus
Working hard To try to fight the evil plague Yeah!
But don't you let Nothing get in the way Yeah!
Now the time has come For all good to know And overthrow the bad
We're here to make a change So all can be free A call has been made And we're back
We're back
Oh, we're back
chorus x4
We're back So start cuttin' up Cause ain't nothin' up Pardon my expression But huh, you ain't tough enough In fact you're timid, Weak, soft, illiterate Call yourself a magician I'm not kickin' it You're at the top of my list You're most wanted Back to take revenge for the people you haunted and haunted To be afraid of your tricks and games But, before you do that Remember our name
We're back!
Now the time has come For all good to know And overthrow the bad
We're here to make a change So all can be free A call has been made And we're back
We're back
chorus x12

NOTE ON LYRICS
According to the lyrics that I found, the 3rd verse read like this:
"Feel it, ya know what I'm saying"
However , it _seems_ to me , when I listen to the song, that it actually play like this instead:
"Bill, ya know what I'm saying"
Which would be a recall to the "Peter meet with Slimer" scene in GB1 , one of the most famous point in the movie.
What do you say?

Story:
Bobby Brown is one of the original members of New Edition. He is also the most controversial as he has faced charges of battery and drink driving, and is constantly in the news over apparent quarrels with his wife. In he left NE to pursue what turned out to be an extremely successful solo career. He teamed with super-producers Babyface, LA Reid and Teddy Riley to become on of the hottest acts of the 80's. It was his second album "Don't Be Cruel" which made his mark. The album sold over six million copies and produced four top 5 hits in "My Prerogative", "Roni", "Don't Be Cruel" and "Every Little Step". Bobby came back to NE in and was part of the reunion album. He then toured with the group but still ran into trouble as it was reported he had a fight with opening act Keith Sweat. He did not tour with NE over the summer tour as he was working on his new album "Forever" which is due out in October. Subsequently he quit the group and stated that he would never work with the group again. -from this website |
